Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy relates to any information that we request of you, primarily for donations to our political action committee, but also for other activities such as signing your name to petitions or letters that we might sponsor.
Donation Information
We are required by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to gather certain information, name, and address, and for donations over $200 we are required to gather your occupation and employer name. This information is forwarded to the FEC as required by law on a monthly basis and is made available as part of the public record by the FEC.
We are also required to determine from you whether you are qualified to donate to a FEC regulated PAC by asking such questions as to whether you are over the age of 18, a citizen or resident of the USA, and other questions. We will also ask you for contact information such as email and telephone number for the purpose of being able to contact you quickly to fulfill a request from the FEC about your donation.
Information Use
When you contribute to a PAC, we are required to collect your name, postal address, occupation, and employer. We also record this information alongside your contribution amounts and recipients in our reports to the FEC. We submit FEC reports on a monthly basis.
On-Line Donations
Donations are handled by Paypal (www.paypal.com) which uses secure protocols when requesting your information during the donation process. During the donation process you leave our site and enter that of Paypal and during that transaction on their site your information is also subject to their Privacy Policy.
Petitions and Open Letter Signings
When we ask you to sign an open letter or petiton we sponsor, we ask you if you want your name to appear on the letter or petition on the website. We only publish your name and state on any letter or petition if you have agreed to do so.
Mailing Lists
The only use of your contact information is for us to contact you. We do not sell or share your contact information with anyone unless we are legally obliged to do so.
